How do I measure for curtains?
Please see our curtain measuring guide for advise on measuring curtains. For pencil pleat, pinch pleat, wave and goblet curtains measure the drop from the eyelet on the curtains pole ring or track to wherever you would like the curtains to drop to. For eyeley curtains please measure from the top of the pole to 1cm above the floor (for full length curtains) to help the curtains drape correctly or wherever you would like the curtains to drop to if they to be sil or mid-length curtains.

CHOOSING THE CORRECT FABRIC AND COLOUR:
How do I choose the correct fabric?
You can filter the fabric options on the website by pattern and colour. Because the computer screen can sometimes slightly skew the colours and texture, we strongly advise that you order a fabric sample to see the true colour and texture before placing your order.
I have a seen a fabric elsewhere that is not listed on your website, can I order this fabric?
Yes of course! We can get 99.9% of fabrics made, but we don’t have them all listed on our website. Please send us an email or give us a call and we will be very happy to provide you with a bespoke quote.
Is blackout lining black?
No blackout lining is ivory in colour.
Is blackout lining completely blackout?
The blackout lining blocks out the majority of light. However the fabric is stitched to the lining therefore creating a pinprick stitch, which stops the fabric being 100% blackout. There is usually a small amount of light seepage at the sides, top and bottom of your blind or curtains. To achieve total blackout we would recommend a blind with channels attached to your window frame, please contact us for further advice on (0191) 516 866/ email@example.com
Can you offer advise with colour schemes and fabrics to suit my interior?
Yes! One of our friendly assistants will be very happy to offer advice with colour schemes, patterns and textures of fabrics.
Can I order coordinating items to match my window treatments?
Yes! We have cushion covers and tiebacks listed on our website but can make a wide range of accessories from bed runners to alternative cushion covers. Please contact us for bespoke enquires on tel: (0191) 516 866/ email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I’ve seen some curtains in an advert can you replicate them?
Yes! More thank likely! We have access to thousands of fabrics, but don’t have them all listed online. If you contact us with guidance on the fabric/ supplier or image we will try our very best to help.
Do you make fire retardant curtains and blinds?
Yes we offer a wide range of fire retardant fabrics.
ONCE YOU HAVE PLACED YOUR ORDER:
How long will my order take?
At different points throughout the year our lead time varies. We will keep our estimated lead time updated on the home page of our website. Occasionally the fabric may cause a slight delay if this is out of stock. If you would like to check the stock levels of fabric before ordering please do not hesitate to contact us.
Can I cancel my order?
It is possible to cancel bespoke orders providing we have started making your order; therefore it is advisable to contact us as soon as possible if you change your mind. Due to the bespoke nature of our products once we have ordered the fabric and made your goods it is not possible to issue a refund.
Can I change the fabric/ measurements once I have ordered?
It is possible to cancel bespoke orders providing we have started making your order; therefore it is advisable to contact us as soon as possible if you change your mind. Due to the bespoke nature of our products it is not possible to issue a refund once we have ordered the fabric and made your goods to the dimensions you have provided us.
Which courier service will deliver my goods?
We use DPD next day delivery to deliver our goods.
How long will my goods take to be delivered?
Once your goods are ready to be despatched the courier company will deliver to you by next working day. Please note that weekends and bank holidays may delay you delivery slightly.
Do you ship to all areas of the UK?
Yes we deliver to all areas of the UK, although some parts may be subject to delivery surcharges. Please see our delivery advice for further information.
Do you ship abroad?
Sorry we do not currently ship abroad.
Can I wash my curtains and blinds?
We advise that you maintain your blinds and curtains by regularly using a light setting on your vacuum cleaner to eradicate any dust. We do not advise that you wash our soft furnishings as this can cause damage to the fabric and drape quality of the curtains. It is possible to get your soft furnishings dry cleaned, however this can also cause up to 3% shrinkage of fabrics.

Can I order my goods if I change my mind about the fabric/ measurements?
Unfortunately, due to the bespoke nature of our goods once you have received your order it is not possible to return the items to change fabric choices or measurements.
What do I do if I receive faulty goods?
At GBI we follow a rigid quality control procedure and will only despatch goods of the highest quality. If you are unhappy with the quality of your goods, please report this to us within 7 days of receiving your goods on tel: (0191) 516 866/ email: email@example.com
